WGA’s asking people interested in all the tree law fun to also sign this petition about a god damned bitch of an unsatisfactory situation on another street on the Same FUCKING lot. NBC Universal (whose CEO is Mike Cavanagh just btw in case Ron Pearlman is listening) has started a construction project that completely removed the sidewalks from five different gates, in two cases forcing pedestrians to literally walk into oncoming traffic. In addition to being an ADA violation, it’s just flat out despicably evil of them and WGA’s asking for public support on this issue.

me when i have a reliable public transport network and guaranteed housing and food and water and electricity and healthcare and democratic control over my workplace and no boss who can threaten to fire me and destroy my life and no landlord who can threaten to evict me and do the same but i can’t buy a banana at the grocery store: my life has been immeasurably ruined
like not that “every worker in the imperial core will have a miserable ascetic monk-like life to atone for their sins” isn’t a real position held by like some fringe maoist-third-worldists i guess but people framing “under socialism the citizens of the imperial core will no longer experience the benefits of imperial exploitation” as “socialists are saying they’ll make people’s lives worse!” is so silly. life quality is when many banana product and the less banana product you can buy the worse your life is

upside of having a popular name legal name: anonimity through “but which so-and-so are you”
downside of having a popular name legal name: if it ever becomes a deadname you’re going to see it everywhere forever

Yikes, thanks Tumblr
So uhhh
Custom domains are now a paid feature… by virtue of having to purchase a domain from Tumblr. And no, it’s not just a fixed fee to use your own existing domain that you bought at like, Namecheap, Gandi, Porkbun or whatever…
No, Tumblr now sells domains and you can use only that for your custom blog names now. Unless you added one before and it became “Legacy Domain”…
And best of all, they don’t even offer all the TLDs, so if you want a specific one, lol out of luck. I don’t get what their goal was with this?
What’s next? Kill entirety of “custom HTML + CSS themes”?
